West Virginia WR Tavon Austin to the Steelers? No Thanks

The Steelers are going to be targeting at least one receiver during the 2013 NFL Draft. Tavon Austin of West Virginia and Marquis Goodwin of Texas just jumped onto everyone's draft boards after running 4.25 forty yard dashes. With the Steelers expected to lose Mike Wallace in free agency it would make sense to go find a speedy receiver to replace him, right? Well, maybe not.

Right now the Steelers have three receivers on the roster that should be on the roster at the start of the 2013 season. Those players are Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, and Jerrico Cotchery. Their average height is on 5'11 so adding Austin in the draft would move that number to 5'10. That doesn't exactly help Ben Roethlisberger who has continued to lobby for a tall receiver that can go get the ball.
