According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, free agent cornerback Brent Grimes visited the Cleveland Browns Saturday. Grimes was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in 2006.
However, before playing in Atlanta, Grimes played overseas in NFL Europe for the Hamburg Sea Devils. His best year was in the 2010 season in which he recorded 87 tackles and 5 interceptions, and eventually voted to the Pro Bowl. Marvez writes:
'As first reported on Twitter by FOXSports.com, Grimes completed his second free-agent visit Saturday with the Cleveland Browns.
Grimes, 29, was designated Atlanta's franchise player in 2012. However, Grimes tore his Achilles tendon in the season-opener and was placed on injured reserve.
If signed by Cleveland, Grimes would team with Joe Haden as the starting cornerbacks. Grimes also would upgrade a Miami secondary that lost cornerback Sean Smith in free agency to Kansas City.'
