Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden-isn't sounding too worried about the upcoming quarterback competition the team will have in place-that will eventually yield a starter for the 2013 season. He already his his mind made up.
"I completely expect to be the starter," he said during his first interview with local reporters, via Nate Ulrich of-The Acron Beacon Journal Online. "That's my mindset going in. I'm confident in my ability to be the guy, to lead this football team."
While Weeden is full of confidence, the men who make the decisions want to hold out and let the process run it's course. Weeden has to prove himself just like everybody else.
"We see potential that we're going to try to work with it and see what it's going to develop into," CEO Joe Banner said. "Some of that is just going to come from how bad he wants it. So I think we'll know a lot more than we know now shortly."
