The Pittsburgh Steelers will be meeting with three free agents this week. Based on the Steelers history they won't be signing any of these players unless they agree to very cap friendly deals, but the Steelers are showing their concern with two areas of the team.
The first two players they are bringing in are middle linebackers which shows a concern with the depth behind Larry Foote and Lawrence Timmons. Stevenson Sylvester is not expected back at this point and Sean Spence, the Steelers 2012 third round pick, may never play football again because of a major knee injury.
Therefore the Steelers are expected to meet with Dan Connor and Moise Fokou. Both players are 27 years old and neither has held a full time starting position for an entire season so far in the NFL. Both players would be added purely as depth behind Foote and Timmons at this point with a chance to get playing time if they perform well in training camp.
