Restricted free agent Chris Ogbonnaya has opted to return to Cleveland, signing a two-year deal on Wednesday, his agent J.R. Rickert said on his website.
Financial terms are not yet known, but-as restricted free agent, the Browns chose not to offer Chris a one-year tender that would have-paid him-$1.33 million, so the deal would likely be for less per year.
"Chris has always felt at home in Cleveland and I am glad that he will have a chance to be a part of the Browns organization for the next 2 seasons," Rickert said. "This is really a great fit for him."
Also per Rickert: 'Drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2009 out of the University of Texas, Ogbonnaya has emerged in Cleveland as one of the best 3rd down backs in the league. He will serve as an excellent change of pace running back to compliment Trent Richardson.'
