Steelers and James Harrison working at restructuring contract
7:39AM Sunday
March 10, 2013

Five-time Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison wants to stay with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He'd also prefer not to take a pay cut.

His agent, Bill Parise,-won't tell you-if the Steelers want Harrison to take a pay cut, but we're sure it's been discussed. "I really don't want to talk about negotiations in the media," he said, via Alan Robinson of-the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.-

"I don't think that helps anybody," Parise said. "But I can tell you that we're all getting along. We're doing fine. We're working."

After speculation that the Steelers were going to cut Harrison after the 2012 season, Parise says that "The Steelers have made it clear to me they want James to stay, and James and I have made it very clear that he wants to be a Steeler; so we're working to try to make that happen."

Harrison is-scheduled to earn-$6.57 million in 2013 and $7,575,000 in 2014.
