Sidney Crosby and Joe Vitale scored for the Penguins as they came away with a 2-1 win over Boston, their ninth straight victory. Tomas Vokoun made 31 saves in the win and only allowed Tyler Seguin's 1oth goal of the season to Boston.

SPIN: Pittsburgh took over the top spot in the Eastern Conference even as Evgeni Malkin missed his fifth straight game. Defenseman Kris Letang wasn't on the ice for the final two periods and his status is day-to-day with an unknown injury. And yet the Penguins still roll on.

Ottawa grounded the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 behind a pair of goals from Jakob Silfverberg. Robin Lehner made 25 saves in the win for the Senators. Kyle Turris scored on the power play for Ottawa and is starting to get hot with four points in his last two games.
