In what became an anything-but-normal game last night at the Quicken Loans Arena, the Miami Heat mounted a 27-point deficit in the third quarter to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers and prolong their chance at history with their 24th straight victory.
The game featured several oddities, including a near 40-minute delay to start the game when condensation began falling from the Quicken Loans scoreboard. However, the most notable, and perhaps slightly overlooked freak occurrence when a fan, who has now been identified as James Blair, rushed the court. Blair, whose Twitter account is @jamesblair06, had been planning to storm the court in an effort to show LeBron James his continued appreciation for him.
LeBron James told the media after the game the fan had told him he missed him and wanted him back before security quickly took him off the court.
