The Pittsburgh Steelers were seemingly not interested in the least at bringing cornerback Keenan Lewis-back for 2013. They never made him an offer, and although-GM Kevin Colbert said they were interested in keeping all of their free agents, he apparently forgot to say 'with the exception of Lewis'.
Lewis will join the New Orleans Saints, bringing him back to his hometown, reports Ed Bouchette-of The-Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The deal is for 5 years, $26 million with $11 million guaranteed, according to various reports; something that the Steelers could very well have afforded, but chose to pass.
They signed William Gay just before free agency started and now they'll turn to Cortez Allen to fill Lewis' spot.
